A former Paulsboro bar building which was featured in a scene of a Ben Affleck / Jennifer Lopez movie is coming back to life again… as Sylvia’s Palace Restaurant and Lounge!
Sylvia’s is located at 30 E Monroe Street just one block off of Delaware Street, at the railroad tracks close to the Heritage Dairy Store.
I believe the building had been empty for a few years now, likely even before the pandemic. More recently it was known as Benny’s On The Rail but before that for over 35 years it was known as Fiorile’s Bar.
New owner Hamin and and his team have been working hard this year on a full remodel of the space inside and out, which he’s named after his mother Sylvia…
