Missing 79-year-old woman with dementia last seen in Des Plaines area

COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WGN) – The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing woman from unincorporated Maine Township.

The sheriff’s office said 79-year-old Louise Friedenson is believed to have left her home in the 9300 bloclk of Home Circle at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning. She was last seen at around 8:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Golf Road and Bender Road in Des Plaines.

Friedenson suffers from dementia and is described as about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds. She also has red hair that may be partially gray and was last seen wearing sweatpants and a black zip-up jacket and black shoes with pink laces. She also may be wearing wire-rim glasses or aviator-style sunglasses, according to investigators.
