Pedestrian in critical condition after early morning Springfield accident

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — One person is in critical condition after an accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian early Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Ken Hall with SPD, a GMC Terrain was northbound on South Campbell Avenue north of Erie Street at around 2 a.m. when the SUV struck a 29-year-old pedestrian who was walking across the street.

One person dead in truck-train crash in Webster County

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The GMC only received front-end damage. Sgt. Hall says there are no signs of the SUV speeding.
