ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Route 66 Centennial is right around the corner, and the city is looking to make it a celebration to remember with revamped signs and new art. A local group is also lending a hand on those preparations.

The Historic Old Town Association said they are excited to welcome visitors for the centennial. To make the area more inviting, they have added a brand-new sign. “The old sign was tired, and we went ahead and kept with the infrastructure that was here,” said Vice President of the Historic Old Town Association Tess Coats.
