SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Lane County Sheriff’s detectives arrested 35-year-old Zachary Ryan Freeman, 35, in Springfield on Wednesday morning, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said that deputies responded at about 11 a.m. on Oct. 15 to a home in the 800 block of South 70th Street to execute a search warrant, during which Freeman was arrested. Freeman faces charges including 10 counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse and 10 counts of the same charge in the second degree, along with invasion of personal privacy, LCSO officials said.
Sheriff’s officials said that the investigation was part of an operation by the Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which focuses on child exploitation cases.
