Hawaiʻi’s milk recall situation continues as DOH begins tests

HONOLULU (KHON2) — On Wednesday, Oct. 15, Hawaiʻi learned that some potentially tainted milk may have been making a few people sick.

However, as of Thursday, Oct. 17, State Epidemiologist Dr. Sarah Kemble, who is the Department of Health’s (DOH) Disease Outbreak Control division, provided an update.

“As of today, the Department of Health has received reports of approximately 15 individuals experiencing gastrointestinal illness potentially associated with consumption of the recalled chocolate milk, affecting four school facilities, all on O‘ahu.”…
