Firearm Turned In: At 12:58 p.m., police responded to the Macedonia station regarding a reported firearm. An individual met with officers and explained they wanted to dispose of a relative’s firearm due to having younger children in the house. Upon further investigation, the item was identified as a Glock 19 replica pellet gun, which was subsequently stored in evidence.
Theft Arrest at Walmart: Officers responded to Walmart. to investigate a series of thefts reported by a store associate. Loss prevention staff provided pictures and video documenting three separate instances of theft involving one individual. In one instance, the individual tag-switched a pack of shirts totaling $23.48 for a $1.00 item, passing all points of sale without paying. In another instance, the individual had taken a soda and six pieces of bone-in wings valued at $9.25.
