MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — Winter peak hours for Santee Cooper customers will start Nov. 1.
The hours are between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., which is when Santee Cooper says energy demands increase because of the cooler mornings during rush hour.
“With winter approaching, energy consumption often spikes between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. as people prepare for the day, whether it’s getting the kids ready for school, heading off to work, or simply starting their morning routine,” the energy provider said in a news release. “To avoid an increase in energy bills, Santee Cooper customers can follow a few simple steps and reduce energy use during these peak hours.”…
