Local Corona del Mar businesses sustain damage following single-vehicle traffic collision early Thursday morning

At 1:21 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, the Newport Beach Fire Department’s (NBFD) Battalion 6, Truck 6, Medic 65 and Engine 65 responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision and heavy rescue operation at MacArthur Boulevard and East Coast Highway.

According to NBFD, the driver was apparently traveling southbound on MacArthur Boulevard to East Coast Highway and appeared to cut the turn and hit the center divider. The vehicle seemed to have flipped multiple times before landing on its driver’s side. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and vehicle debris was scattered throughout the scene.
