Teen accused of threatening to commit shooting at KWC

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A 19-year-old was booked into the Daviess County Jail and charged with terroristic threatening after he allegedly said he had a desire to commit a shooting at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

According to a post from the Owensboro Police Department, officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 200 block of East 23rd Street on October 14 and located Josiah James with several injuries to his arms that required medical treatment. Authorities say while he James was being transported to a local hospital, he confessed to wanting to commit a shooting at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Another booked into jail from shooting near Fall Festival

During a search of James’ home, authorities say they located multiple firearms and several hundred rounds of ammunition in a backpack. Detectives also seized electronic devices that reportedly had “hundreds of internet searches on school shootings.”

James was arrested on October 17 and charged with terroristic threatening. He is being held in the Daviess County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. According to Owensboro Police, there is no evidence that James was ever a student at Kentucky Wesleyan College…
