As the federal government shutdown stretches into its 17th day, hundreds of thousands of employees across the country remain furloughed, including many here in Huntsville. With no paychecks coming in, some are turning to temporary work just to make ends meet.
One of those workers is Wesley Key, a longtime federal employee stationed at Redstone Arsenal. He’s been out of work since Oct. 1. Like many others, has had to get creative to keep up with everyday expenses.
