In a significant crackdown on organized crime, Miami law enforcement has recovered a trove of stolen merchandise valued at over $1 million. A coordinated effort among several agencies, including Miami PD, West Miami PD, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, led to the discovery of the goods and the arrest of a suspect believed to be part of an organized theft ring operating out of Miami.
During a search warrant executed at a Miami Gardens residence, authorities seized around 600 cellphones, assorted clothing items, vapes, lighters, and other merchandise, WSVN reports. Ranuiel Quintero, 41, was arrested at his home on Northwest 44th Avenue, and faces charges for dealing in stolen property and grand theft.
The cache of goods is linked to a series of burglaries at businesses across South Florida and in New Jersey, where the ring forced entry during nighttime hours to carry out their heists.
