MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Fire Department says it knows exactly what to do with a new grant.
The agency announced on Thursday that it received nearly $130,000 in grant funding as a member of the Pee Dee Healthcare Coalition.
According to MBFD, that money goes toward buying critical life-saving tools, including:
- Marine Rescue Platforms – for rapid patient evacuations from ocean or flood waters
- Anatomage Tablet – cutting-edge, interactive EMS training program in human anatomy
- SimJunior Manikin – a realistic 6-year-old simulator for hands-on pediatric emergency training
- SimBaby Manikin – a high-fidelity infant simulator for practicing critical care for our youngest patients
MBFD said that these tools will “enhance emergency preparedness and response across our region.”…
