Once Upon an Orchestra Concerts Return

The Vero Beach Museum of Art will set the scene for two free concerts for children by Space Coast Symphony Orchestra this season. These Once Upon an Orchestra concerts are designed for preschool and kindergarten-aged children and their families, and will coincide with the museum’s free admission Second Saturdays in November and March.

On November 8, the symphony’s woodwind quintet will perform Pinocchio at 11 a.m. The performance features the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn, and depicts Geppetto, Pinocchio, Harlequin, Fairy Godmother, Candlewick, Toyland, the Whale, and more.

On March 14, at 11 a.m., the symphony’s string family, including the violin, viola, and cello, will support the story of the Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Andersen. Music and props help little ones learn to differentiate between characters and settings…
