While Much of U.S. Cools, Corpus Christi Could Hit 100° Next Week

Corpus Christi, TX – As cooler fall air spreads across much of the United States, South Texas is bucking the trend. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi says the Coastal Bend will see highs climbing toward triple digits early next week.

Forecasters expect temperatures ranging from the mid-80s this weekend to as high as 98° to 100° by Monday and Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies and light coastal winds. Overnight lows will remain warm, staying in the upper 60s to mid-70s, offering little overnight relief.

While cities across the Midwest and Northeast prepare for cooler weather and even frost advisories, the Gulf Coast remains under a dome of high pressure keeping conditions hot and dry. The NWS says there’s little chance of rain through the middle of next week…
