This past weekend’s tragic violence is not a moment for passive grief. We reject the empty, exhausted rhetoric of “stop the violence”; and demand a response rooted in action, ownership, and true systemic change.
Our current crisis is not just a policing problem; it is a profound failure of the systems designed to support us. Realizing true impact requires us to stand up and aggressively bolster the social and community programs that address the root issues of poverty, joblessness, mental health, and gaps in education and opportunity.
