Quaker Avenue bridge closure for Loop 88 project starts Monday

LUBBOCK, Texas–On Monday, October 20, crews will begin operations to construct the concrete bridge rails to the Loop 88 bridges. Work will begin at the Quaker Avenue bridge and will require Quaker to be closed to overnight traffic from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow crews to place the rails for the new bridge. Both north and southbound traffic will be detoured around the area.

Work continues each night throughout the week with work on Indiana Avenue bridge taking place on Tuesday, University Avenue bridge on Wednesday and Slide Road bridge on Thursday. All work will take place overnight and traffic detoured around the work zone.
