Washington Weather Alert: Spokane Braces for Saturday Night Rain and Wind Across Eastern Washington

SPOKANE, Wash. – After a bright and mild Friday, Spokane residents should prepare for a shift to classic Inland Northwest fall weather as rain returns late Saturday. The National Weather Service says widespread showers and breezy winds will move into the Spokane metro area Saturday night, continuing through much of Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, rain chances climb to 80 percent by Saturday evening, with steady showers expected along I-90 from Spokane to Coeur d’Alene. Winds may gust near 20 mph, creating slick roadways and reducing visibility during evening travel. Drivers should allow extra time, especially on wet stretches of I-90, U.S. 195, and State Route 27.

Saturday daytime conditions will remain dry and cool, with highs near 58°F before clouds thicken in the evening. Rain will continue into early Sunday, tapering off by late afternoon as temperatures drop to the upper 30s by nightfall.
