First appearance delayed for South Hill shooting suspect, court docs reveal several accounts

SPOKANE, Wash. – The first appearance in court has been postponed to October 20 for a man accused of shooting 38-year-old Derick Shafer.

32-year-old Andre Moore, the man accused of the murder, could not attend his scheduled appearance on October 17 because he was “ill,” according to his lawyer.

Ashley Smith, Shafer’s younger sister, was in court for Moore’s originally scheduled appearance and said she would be present for his appearance on Monday as well because she “has some things to say” to Moore and the court system…
