University of Michigan regents are opposing the Big Ten’s proposed $2 billion capital deal, likening it to a “payday loan” that would jeopardize the future of the conference.
In a speech that lasted more than six minutes on Thursday during a previously scheduled board meeting in Flint, Michigan regent Jordan Acker said “enough is enough” while making his case against the proposed deal.
