Law enforcement expert weighs in on recent Maryland juvenile crime data

BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) — A particular key data point from the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services is under scrutiny. It focuses on the number of young offenders detained by DJS and there’s pushback from a key law enforcement expert.

A closer look at that matter comes after a community meeting Thursday in Southeast Baltimore where residents voiced frustration over ongoing juvenile crime and the perceived lack of transparency from authorities.
