City of Greenville greenlights multi-million dollar sidewalk project

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – The City of Greenville has approved a $3.4 million project to install 5,000 feet of sidewalks in the Overbrook neighborhood, addressing long-standing safety concerns from residents.

The funding for the project includes $1.35 million from G patch, a state fund, and $2 million from a city neighborhood infrastructure bond, according to City of Greenville Councilman John DeWorken.

“This project is one of the largest sidewalk projects in the history of Greenville’s city,” said Deworken. “We were able to get $1.35 million from G patch, which is kind of the state, and then we were able to match it with $2 million of our neighborhood infrastructure bond, that’s city money.”…
