Michigan Man Picks the Worst Possible Home to Rob: A Trooper’s

A Lansing man definitely picked the wrong house to break into. It turned out to be the home of a Michigan State Police trooper and a Midland Police officer.

The Wrong House at the Wrong Time

According to the Midland County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Nicholas Premo was arrested early Sunday morning after breaking into a home on North Coleman Road in Warren Township. Deputies say they were called around 12:16 a.m. for a home invasion in progress.

Caught by the Homeowners — Both Police Officers

Inside that house were two people Premo really didn’t want to meet, both law enforcement officers. Sheriff Scott Holzinger says the pair woke up when Premo broke into their bedroom. They quickly detained him in the garage and waited for deputies to arrive.

Despite spotting a state police cruiser parked in the garage, Premo reportedly went through with the break-in anyway. Investigators say he stole a Red Bull, stripped metal from a 2024…..
