FORT HOOD, Texas (FOX 44) – The Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) hosted a special distribution event to support Fort Hood soldiers.
The distribution event took place on Friday, and helped to support those who continue to servedespite the ongoing government shutdown. Fort Hood is home to nearly 40,000 soldiers, and 850 families were served.
CTFB also hosted another event at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), providing food assistance for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) – a workforce of more than 650 federal employees.More CTFB distributions are planned and will continue until the ongoing government shutdown ends…
