The company posted the announcement on Friday afternoon.

Citizen is a mobile app that provides real-time safety alerts and incident reports based on your location. Users receive notifications about crimes, fires, and emergencies, and can also stream live video of incidents.

The company posted a social media update, alerting users that they could now be paid for live-streaming incidents that occur around them.
