Spartansburg Scene: Pumpkin Walk to bring suicide awareness

Spartansburg Events will hold its annual Pumpkin Walk from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, on the East Branch Trail. This year, they’re doing something special with the walk — the plan is to support suicide awareness, and the walk is called “Pumpkin Walk of Hope.”

“This year, we’re doing this in memory of friends,” said Amanda Slaney, president of Spartansburg Events. “We’re going to light up the night with pumpkins down the bike trail while raising suicide awareness. Holidays can be stressful for so many, and this is a way to learn while enjoying an evening with family and friends.”
