Cops looking for NJ Transit passenger accused of spitting in face of bus driver

Newark police are still looking for a man who spit in the face, hair and clothing of an NJ Transit bus driver on Sunday.

The man leaned around the bus driver’s protective barrier and spit on her around 6:20 a.m. near South 10th Street and Springfield Avenue, police said.

The two had not interacted before the incident.

The passenger, who boarded the bus at 21st Street in Irvington, is about 5-foot-3 and 140 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweater and black pants…
