WOODVILLE TOWNSHIP – More than 150 people packed the Woodville Township Trustees meeting on Oct. 10, but neither of the individuals involved in trying to bring in a rumored data center showed up.
Both sets of double doors opened for a standing room-only crowd at the fire hall. Despite the agitation in the room, short tempers were held in check as trustees fielded questions and explained how little they know about the situation.
“I’m not happy. We’re not happy at all. As a birder, I knew when they said the data center would be in Sandusky County that it would be in Gibsonburg because (of) the water supply,” Local Resident Dave Wilkins said. “My biggest fear is that we’re not going to have water. Hopefully this isn’t a done deal and this is just a dog-and-pony show because that will p— me off. I hear they’re offering $100,000 an acre. I have a lot of questions.”…
