Keynote speaker for the Canyon Independent School District Business and Community Leaders Luncheon was former Amarillo mayor Trent Sisemore. The semi-annual event was held Oct. 16 in the Happy State Bank Stadium Conference Center.
Sisemore is the liason between the community and Fermi America that will build a large-scale energy and artificial intelligence (AI) campus on 5,236 acres near Pantex.
“The project involves building extensive data centers, powered by a combination of nuclear reactors, natural gas, solar and utility grid power,” according to Fermi’s website. “The project is a collaboration between Fermi America, Westinghouse and the Texas Tech University System.”…
