Repeat DWI Offender Charged with Intoxication Manslaughter in Crash That Killed USPS Driver

HOUSTON, TX — A U.S. Postal Service delivery driver was killed after a suspected drunk driver caused a fatal crash Saturday afternoon at the 11400 block of Antoine Drive, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the 11700 block of Antoine Drive on October 18, 2025, just before 3 p.m., for reports of a major crash involving serious injuries. When they arrived, they found a two-vehicle collision involving a silver Dodge Ram 2500, driven by Jose Humberto Romero, 48, and a USPS mail delivery truck.
