The American Heart Association in Lubbock trains Dalhart ISD students in CPR

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock office in the American Heart Association partnered up with United Supermarkets to teach students in Rural areas important life-saving skills. United Supermarkets donated 10 CPR mannequins to Dalhart ISD so their students can physically learn CPR, choke relief and AED use.

“These are not state or federally funded, and it’s certainly something that our students need to be able to do,” Dalhart ISD Superintendent Jeff Byrd explained. “It’s going to help them and give them the confidence to maybe save their children someday as they grow into adulthood.”
