Tennessee Woman Charged In US-19 Hit-And-Run Of New Port Richey And Hudson Teens

PASCO COUNTY, Fla – Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Troopers have identified and located the suspect driver involved in a serious hit-and-run crash on US-19 this past Sunday, October 12th, which left two juveniles seriously injured.

Following a diligent, multi-day investigation, authorities named Kelsie Renea Moorman, a 25-year-old woman from Memphis, Tennessee, as the individual who fled the scene of the collision.

According to FHP reports, Moorman was driving a Chevy pickup truck when she collided with the juveniles, who were operating a motorized scooter. Rather than rendering aid, Moorman fled the scene of the crash. The victims sustained serious injuries and remain hospitalized at this time.

The investigation tracked Moorman as she reportedly fled the state, eventually reaching Tennessee. A crucial collaboration between the Florida Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) led to her location in Memphis…
