A Leesburg man was arrested for resisting an officer after being confrontational and yelling to the point of being tased.
A deputy responded to 43-year-old Stephan Dale Wahl’s residence on Juneau Street in Leesburg regarding a motion to stay complaint at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, the deputy was immediately confronted by Wahl in the driveway. He said something along the lines of “you need to get off of my property” before the deputy had a chance to say anything. Being as there were multiple people there, the deputy asked two men standing to his right if they could grab their IDs while Wahl continued cursing and screaming at him, the report said.
The deputy tried to explain the reason for his visit, but Wahl just aggressively turned to him and continued screaming. Fearing for his safety, he deployed three taser probes to control the situation.
