ROCHESTER, N.Y. — State officials are reminding drivers to watch out for deer on the roads this fall.
According to the state DMV and DEC, more deer crashes happen here in Monroe County than anywhere else in New York, saying there were more than 1,400 collisions involving deer in Monroe County last year.
In Ontario County, they say there were over 1,100 deer crashes in 2024. Statewide, more than 32,000 deer crashes were reported. Officials say numbers peaked in October, November, and December when deer are most active…
