Residents and visitors in the Chicago Loop area are being urged to stay vigilant following a recent incident on a CTA platform that involved a robbery and aggravated battery, as shared by the Chicago Police Department. According to the community alert, a group of passengers became the unfortunate targets of a physical altercation, which quickly escalated into theft of their possessions.
The crime occurred in the early hours, specifically at around 1:49 a.m. on September 5, 2025, within the vicinity of the 200 block of S. Dearborn. The perpetrators responsible for the attack and subsequent robbery have been described as consisting of six African American females and one African American/Hispanic female, all believed to be between 18 and 20 years of age, alongside an African American male aged 20-25 years old with a thin mustache, wearing a black balaclava mask.
