Nebraska QB commit keeps lighting up scoreboards after big decision

Fresh off making sure that Nebraska football fans knew that he wasn’t wavering in his commitment to the Huskers, Trae Taylor went out and put up even more eye-popping numbers on Friday night.

Taylor announced earlier in the week that he was shutting down his recruitment amid rumors that NU head coach Matt Rhule was thinking of leaving for Penn State. While the Cornhuskers responded to those rumors with perhaps their shakiest showing since the Rhule era began, Taylor just keeps leaving opponents in his wake. His latest performance helped knock off one of the best teams in the state and once again showed that he can hurt teams through the air and on the ground.

Four Carmel wide receivers finished with at least six catches for the Corsairs, who scored on their opening series of the third quarter and reached the end zone four times in the second half to beat the Loyola Ramblers 42-14. Trae Taylor completed 29 passes for 384 yards and four scores while adding 53 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown as the Nebraska commit helped his team clinch a playoff spot.
