Oregon Weather Alert: Wet Roads and Cooler Temps in Eugene Through Sunday Along I-5 Corridor

Eugene, OR – After a damp and chilly weekend across Lane County, clearer skies and a welcome fall warmup are on the way for Eugene. Showers will linger through Sunday night, especially for drivers along I-5, but dry, sunny weather returns Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, Eugene will see 90% rain chances Saturday night and Sunday, with totals up to a quarter inch. Sunday’s high will only reach 61°F, making it one of the chilliest afternoons of October so far. Thunder is not expected, but heavier rain could reduce visibility during afternoon travel.

Drivers along Beltline Highway and I-105 should remain alert for slick surfaces and localized pooling, especially near underpasses and low-lying intersections. Winds won’t be a major concern, but gusts up to 20 mph are possible through Sunday night…
