Portland Men Take Second at Linfield George Oja Invitational

INDEPENDENCE, Ore. — Portland men joined Pilot women in finishing second overall at the Linfield Invitational. The Pilots totaled 87 points to place just behind Eastern Washington (77) and ahead of Eastern Oregon (136).

Jacob Hupke led the charge for the Pilots, placing fifth overall with a time of 23:58.90 on the 8K course. Mark Milner (11th, 24:11.30) and Nathan Stein (12th, 24:11.90) each recorded personal bests to give Portland three runners inside the top 15. Cohen Williams (29th, 24:41.10) and Juan Diego Contreras (50th, 25:01.00 PR) rounded out Portland’s scoring five, while Xander Penaflor (57th, 25:04.30 PR) and Alex Althouse (73rd, 25:16.40 PR) also posted career-best marks.
