Police arrested several suspects after a mother and daughter were kidnapped at gunpoint on Detroit’s west side on Friday in the 14500 block of Trinity Street. A report about a possible body on Belle Isle led officers to spot a silver Ford Focus leaving the island. The vehicle matched the description linked to the kidnapping, and police stopped it on Jefferson Avenue. “Another collaborative effort between MSP and DPD,” MSP First Lieutenant Mike Shaw said. “Fortunately, these suspects were taken into custody before someone was seriously hurt,” according to CBS News Detroit.
