NAPA VALLEY, Calif. — I have not been writing much lately for two reasons: The first one is I adopted a dog. Not just any dog, but a Siberian husky, surrendered to the Napa animal shelter because she was “a runner.” I didn’t fully understand the term but learned that two sets of people had given up because of her propensity for escaping, going adventuring, getting picked up and landing herself in the slammer.
