Greenville County schools dedicate security center to fallen deputy

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – School leaders in Greenville County have dedicated their state-of-the-art school security center to a fallen Greenville County deputy.

A special dedication for the center happens at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Taylors. District leaders said the center pays homage to the late Greenville County Sergeant William Conley Jumper Junior. Jumper was hit and killed in a crash five years ago at the age of 52.

District leaders said the school security center serves as a hub for training, coordination, and rapid response. District leaders also said the aim is to ensure safe and secure learning environments for all students and staff.
