ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Average gas prices in Roanoke fell 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.81 per gallon Monday, October 20, according to Gasbuddy’s survey of 155 stations in the city.
From a month ago, gas prices in Roanoke decreased five cents per gallon. Prices are 11.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel is down 3.7 cents in contrast to a week ago and sits at $3.59 per gallon, according to Gasbuddy.
The least expensive station in Roanoke was priced at $2.51 per gallon on Sunday, October 19, while the priciest gas station was recorded at $3.19 per gallon, the difference being 68 cents per gallon. In the entire state of Virginia, the lowest priced station was at $2.51 per gallon and the most expensive was at $3.99 per gallon, the difference being $1.48 per gallon…
