Fire crews battle brush fire in North County, prompting temporary evacuations

SAN DIEGO — Fire crews battled a brush fire that was burning in 4S Ranch, a North San Diego County neighborhood, on Sunday. The fire sent large plumes of smoke into the air that could be seen miles away.

The fire broke out just before 5 p.m. in the 10000 blocks of 4S Ranch Parkway near multiple structures and homes. Officials issued an evacuation order, but it has since been lifted.
