When Randy and Debbie Lewis made their first vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1992, they custom-crushed it at Robert Sinskey Vineyards, a then-new winery on Napa Valley’s Silverado Trail that closed two years ago.
Now, Lewis Cellars is back at that Silverado Trail property, this time as the owner — and now as part of the Wonderful Co., the agricultural empire that includes Fiji water, Halos mandarin oranges, Pom juice and Wonderful pistachios. On Wednesday, Lewis Cellars opens its new tasting room after a two-year renovation that transformed Sinskey’s understated stone building into an opulent space with surrealist paintings, animal prints and Parisian-inspired private salons.
