Twin Peaks faces suit over killing in San Antonio restaurant’s parking lot

The November killing of a 32-year-old San Antonio man in the parking lot of a Twin Peaks restaurant in San Antonio has sparked a wrongful-death lawsuit against the establishment and other parties.

Michael Angelo Vargas was shot around 1 a.m. Nov. 23 in the Twin Peaks parking lot at 12790 W. Interstate 10 after he confronted burglars breaking into his vehicle, the suit alleges.

Vargas was pronounced dead at the scene, while San Antonio police said his girlfriend suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being grazed by the same round, according to news reports at the time. The couple had just left the restaurant…
