Halong student evacuees start transition to the Anchorage School District

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Anchorage School District is attempting to support student evacuees from Western Alaska villages displaced by ex-Typhoon Halong by providing classroom space and mental health resources.

“We need to start thinking about the continuity of education for our students,” ASD Superintendent Jharrett Bryantt said last week. “We’re anticipating at least over 100 students, if not more than 200 students.”
