‘All In For Our Schools’ campaign raises nearly $1.5 million for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A community-wide fundraising effort to support Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools has raised nearly $1.5 million in just four weeks, organizers announced Monday.

The campaign, All In For Our Schools, launched September 17 and has collected $1,482,680.58 to date —representing nearly half of its $3 million goal. More than 200 donors have contributed to the initiative, which benefits local students, teachers, and schools through three key funds: the Education Foundation Classroom Supplies Fund, the WS/FCS Student Success Fund, and the Every Shelf, Every Student book drive.

The effort began with a $500,000 matching pledge from community philanthropists Mike and Wendy Brenner to support the Classroom Supplies Fund. Last week, the Winston-Salem Foundation added another $500,000 toward the WS/FCS Student Success Fund, while the Every Shelf, Every Student campaign — led by local nonprofit bookstore Bookmarks — has helped purchase more than 2,000 new books for district classrooms…
