Police: 3 charged in connection to death of Upstate teen

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) — Three people have been arrested in connection a deadly shooting that occurred in Spartanburg in late September.

Shooting on Amherst Drive

Police said the shooting occurred around 12:50 a.m. on September 20, at a home on Amherst Drive.

Officers found 17-year-old Zion Renaldo Myssiah Jordan unresponsive in the kitchen of the home. Investigators said Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene, after being shot at least twice.

According to the Spartanburg Police Department, the teen was sitting in the living room of the home when several gunshots were fired from the front yard. The shots went through a bay window and struck Jordan.

Arrests, Charges & Bond
