Kentucky Housing Corp. (KHC) joined Mayor Greenberg, community leaders, and LDG Development yesterday to celebrate the opening of The Eclipse, a new affordable housing community located in Louisville’s historic Russell Neighborhood.
The Eclipse provides 280 high-quality 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom homes for families earning no more than 80% of area median income. Nearly half of the units received project-based rent assistance through Louisville Metropolitan Housing Authority, making the community deeply affordable for tenants.
“The community development underway in West Louisville is a powerful example of how strategic investment can expand opportunity,” said Wendy Smith, deputy executive director of Housing Programs at KHC. “The Eclipse offers families access to quality, affordable apartments in a rich, historic neighborhood where momentum is building.
