Publix is set to open a new store in Naples, Florida, on November 20, 2025. The supermarket will cover 48,387 square feet and include both a pharmacy and liquor store. It will anchor the growing retail hub at The Shoppes at Orange Blossom on Oil Well Road.
From Farmland to Retail
In 1995, the site was still active farmland. Aerial photos show neat rows of crops stretching across the area, with no commercial development in sight. For years, this stretch of Oil Well Road remained mostly rural, even as growth reached other parts of Collier County.
Development Takes Shape
The landscape changed quickly in the 2020s. Roads and utilities were installed, clearing the way for new homes and businesses. Construction at The Shoppes at Orange Blossom began soon after, with commercial pads and parking lots taking shape. Publix will occupy a central spot in this development, surrounded by new neighborhoods and modern retail.
